Zviad Ratiani was born in 1971 in Tbilisi. He translates English and German poetry (Eliot, Pound, Frost, Sandburg, Auden, Lowell, Strand, Walcott, Simic, Rylke, Celan, etc). His poetry is translated into English, German, French, Russian, Azerbaijani, Ukrainian and other languages.
