Tamaz Ekvtimishvili was born in 1956 in Tbilisi. In 1977, he graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, the Faculty of Chemistry. His short stories are published in periodical editions (“Literaturuli Saqartvelo” (Literary Georgia), “Mnatobi” (Luminary), “Tsiskari”, “Arili” (Ariel), “Parnasi” (Parnassus), “24 Saati” (24 Hours), “Tskheli Shokoladi” (Hot Chocolate), “Literaturuli Palitra” (Literary Palette). His novels and plays are included in various anthologies (among them are: “Witness” – “Alazani” (1999), “The End” – “Forum” (2001), “…Once I Slaughtered a Cock” – Top Fifteen Georgian Short Stories” (2004), “Ponite Shoes” (play) – Top Ten Georgian Plays” – 2010), “Remuneration” – Anthology of New Georgian Prose” (2010).
