Guram Jakhutashvili

Poet

Guram Jakhutashvili was born in 1983 in Tbilisi. In 2005, he graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, the faculty of law. He started writing at the age of fourteen. In 1998-2002, his verses were published in literary journals. In 2000 there was published a collection of translations of Johann Wolfgan Goethe’s Verse. Two translations included in this collection is by Guram Jakhutashvili. In addition, in 1998-2013 he translated Hermann Hesse’s, Heinrich Heine’s, Rainer Maria Rilke’s and Emily Dickenson’s works.
