Erekle Deisadze

Erekle Deisadze was born on April 2, 1990 in Kutaisi. He graduated from Kutaisi Public School 1 and Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgian State University. He started his music career in a band “Parallel Generation”. His first book “Saidumlo Siroba” (in the title he removed one letter from the second word “Last Supper”), which is based on political-religious topics, provoked dissimilar reaction in the society. The book was considered as a sacrilege and insult of religion, in particular Orthodoxy, among religious groups. Demonstrations were held demanding the banning of the book. On the other hand, the book received approval from the second part of the society and they held demonstrations to support Irakli Deisadze. In 2012 Irakli founded a punk-group “In 40 Kilometres”. He filmed political clips. He participated in the clip “The System Must Be Destroyed”. It reflected on the scandal that took place in the System of Corrections and Legal Assistance of Georgia and Georgian artists protested against the violence in prisons.
